"I very much enjoyed my stay and would highly reccommend this hotel. The rooms are excellent value for money and the location is brillaint, just 5 minutes from Picadilly station and all of the city centre shops and restaurants." (107118879)

The room was spacious and clean with a well stocked hospitality tray. Good choice of TV channels and nice clean bathroom. The breakfast choice was varied and they offered a vegetarian option on the hot buffet which was a nice bonus.

The hotel could be a little bit noisy at night due to its city centre location, quite a bit of noise from the pubs and clubs in the area.

"I stayed in an 'Executive' double room however, what was executive about it I do not know. It was a normal standard double room to my knowledge but clean and tidy all the same. Fine for a stop over." (108061686)

Convenience to city centre & Old Trafford Football Stadium.

I had over an hour to wait for my room to be ready and waited in the reception area and nobody came to keep me updated on the situation, so i went to the reception desk to ask how long it would be, to be told it was not ready and i could have another room which was ready,so why didn't they do that in the first place? Toilet tissue very poor quality for the grade of hotel and bed never met with the headboard although, it was comfortable. I also requested my bags be brought to my room because they were in the porter's room and i had waited for 10 plus minutes for them and nobody brought them to me I had to go back down to reception and fetch them myself some 40 minutes later.

"Overall a very pleasant stay, would definitely stay again. My daughter and I were fully refreshed for the open day the following morning at the uni. Very quiet best nights sleep I've had in a long while. Good evening meal in the overstuffed pizza. " (97568434)

Easy to locate and close to the train station. Clean and tidy, matching linen with helpful staff. Very quiet no noise on our floor at all after eleven. good food.

Main ceiling light didnt work but there where plenty of table lamps which gave a nice atmosphere. Slight damage to the bathroom door around the lock that was nothing really. Key card didnt work but soon realised we were doing it wrong, you have to insert it then take it out straight away.

When your room has been cleaned do check the cups, spoons etc. I used one of the spoons at the beginning of my stay and it was barely wiped with the stains remaining on it for the duration of our stay even though we left it out..not good! When I complained the staff were friendly, apologetic and sorted the problem.

"Location fantastic, really close to the centre of everything. NCP car park close by on Chorlton Street, £14.00 for an overnight stay. Was a bit worried after reading some of the feedback, but room was lovely if a bit old fashioned, with a window and TV fine. I was on the 4th floor and could still hear a lot of noise from the street and bar in the basement - this doesn't bother me, but it's something people might need to be aware of." (108062692)

Location fantastic, really close to the centre of everything. Staff lovely.

Although the room was clean and tidy , it was extremely hot ..should of asked for a fan , but only thought about it after as i did not know they were available

    Staff attentiveness, helpfulness and friendliness: excellent! Room was fine;

I wouldn't call it 'bad' - the weather was very warm and being on the 5th floor with heat rising, meant that it was uncomfortably warm. A fan would have helped.

Good location,Fantastic building and airy public spaces all kept very clean. Friendly helpful staff.

The free bottle of wine mentioned on the booking form was never offered (though I did forget to actully ask for it) Some facilities advertitsed, ie the atttached 'Wave' bar' and Jenny's restuarant closed the night of my stay. Bedroom was ok for one night but would be dispapointed were I staying longer

Clean, airy, lovely decor, good security on doors when we came back on saturday night.

Directions taken from the website were appalling and out of date. They referenced landmarks that no longer exist or streets that had been made 1-way and were impossible to travle along.

"Very short stay, but generally comfortable and pleasant." (108080416)

great location, good advice from the friendly guy near the door, impressive staircase

guy at checkin seemed unsure what he was doing. I go up 5 floors in the lift, then up the stairs to top floor, and find my keycard doesn't work, so back down I go. I was in a hurry too. Also, was supposed to get free bottle wine in a promotion. Wasn't really that bothered, but surely someone should have offered it to me.

"On the whole was satisfied with the facilities. However, I was unable to make external 'phone calls as there was a problem getting an outside line in my room. It was suggested that I change rooms but once settled in this room, it didn't seem to be the best solution. Hopefully the BT engineer will have materialized before the next client needs to make external calls!" (97558138)

I was lucky enough to be given a twin-bedded room instead of the single room I had requested, which was a bonus.

Beautiful period decorations. Good cental location. Free wi-fi invaluable.

jennys food was brilliant. Staff were also great very friendly and helpful and polite. Food was fresh to high standard we had carvery one night and breakfast full english. Mum and i were very pleased and were full up afterwards! great value for money too! The hotel looked great inside and spacious. was a little hard to see from outside as club was promoted more and we walked past hotel several times to find it! but iover all we had a good time. we came up to go to a childcare event over 2 days in the gmex.

the room i had requested was non smoking but on check in we had to settle for smoking room which stank and the whole corridoor too! the room was noisy at night with disco below and there was a glass shutter door missing to block out the sound of the traffic. One of the ligts didnt work either.

"When we arrived we queued for 30 mins. Then when finally with the receptionist was told our booking was not in the system? I produced my written confirmation and reference number (from Brittania direct not a third party agency). The poor girl tried to resolve but could not find a double room? I told we had purposely booked a suite that accomodated 3 as the web details told us there was a double bed and a single bed? My wife did not travel due to illness so there was only my son (21 years old) and I - we needed 2 beds? This is when we got back to a suite but only a smoking room (did not notice until we walked through the door?). We were also billed for full English Breakfast (on top of the £215 room charge) at £10.95 each whereas we only had cereal and toast plus tea for me only? I did not notice this at check out as I thought breakfast was included (only in USA have I not had breakfast included?). Sorry but having looked forward to the experience in Manchester for the first time I was dissappointed. In London I stay at the Waldorf or the Park Lane Hilton at less cost (£199 usually) including breakfast?" (97195819)

    Room was spacious

Booked a non-smoking room but was given a smoking room. No choice so the compromise was we had to spray with air freshner. The smoke is ingrain in everything - not happy at all. Especially at the inflated price.
